PEM Sheet metal is a rapidly expanding light engineering company based in the South East of England. We provide subcontract engineering services for our clients in both manufacturing and design and laser profiling.
Our core business is the manufacture and design of sheet metal components, assemblies and precision welding and fabrication services, although our expertise extends across many other
aspects of engineering. Additionally we now offer subcontract Laser Cutting Services.
Typically we manufacture sheet metal items such as front panels, cases and enclosure systems,
bracketry, PCB hardware such as screening cans. These products are generally used in electronic, medical and defence equipment. Please see our Enclosures or Fabrications pages
Our production operations include; Advanced 3D CAD, Shearing, Laser Cutting, Punching, Forming, Fine Limit TIG Welding, Spot Welding (including aluminum) Graining and Finishing together with
Assembly and Inspection. The manufacture of sheet metal enclosures and case work as well as Process Plant and equipment also form an expanding part of our business.
PEM Sheet metal also heads a group of specialist supply partners. These companies are carefully
vetted and inspected to provide services that meet our standards. These subcontractors provide external operations such as advanced machining, painting and powder coating and various plating processes.
We manufacture in quantities from one offs up to many millions of units.
In addition to state of the art manufacturing facilities PEM Sheet metal has advanced 3D Computer Aided Design systems. We can provide you with full colour rendered images of your designs before manufacture.
PEM Sheet metal has been trading for in excess of 30 years. Please see our History Page. In that time we have become a supply partner to prestigious companies such as Marconi, BAE Systems, E2V and British Telecom.

Additionally, our production staff are uniquely aware of our customers and their needs and you are more than welcome to talk to the staff who actually manufacture your products should you wish to.
Many of our customers have specific Q.A. requirements or procedures, we can offer Quality Assurance tailored specifically to your individual needs.
PEM Sheet metal currently employs 40 people with a turnover of around £2.3 million per annum. Our production facilities in Burnham, Essex totals over 23,000 square feet.
